Public bug reported: If someone with a little experience with Linux, he may want to uninstall it. he could remove the partitions of Linux and there for the Grub stop to work, and he blame the linux that destroy the windows, and after that. he will format the whole hard disk to bring windows back... (It happen to my friend).
There for to prevent that, I suggest that the installation of Linux will copy and save the MBR of windows, and will added option to remove linux and restore the original windows MBR. It will make Linux more friendly if It will be easy to remove as to install. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- add uninstall linux option https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164826 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
