I wouldn't have been so optimistic some months ago, but recently AMD/ATI started to release specifications, and they just hired the main radeon driver developer to do open-source work with them.
It would help if you open a bug upstream and get into a direct debugging dialog with the developers. We can also forward bugs, but it's most efficient when the people seeing the bug also follow up on them. For testing the newest upstream development, Ubuntu packages are posted on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XorgOnTheEdge ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- [gutsy][9700] analog output on DVI-I broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
