Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 19.04. Can be reproduced since Ubuntu 18.04. 2) $ apt-cache policy gnome-power-manager gnome-power-manager: Installed: 3.32.0-1 Candidate: 3.32.0-1 Version table: *** 3.32.0-1 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu disco/main amd64 Packages 500 http://ua.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu disco/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3) The system proceeds powered on after user logged on. 4) The system goes in a suspended power state in a few seconds after entering a correct password. Steps to reproduce: 1. Setup a suspend timeout of 15 min for the current user in either way. For an instance, open 'Settings' application, select 'Power' page, set 'On' Automatic suspend with the delay 15 minutes. 2. Create an additional user in the OS if there is no such one. Say, 'user2'. 3. Switch Desktop session to 'user2'. For example, select 'Switch User' in options of current session and then logon as 'user2'. 4. Stay logged on Desktop session as 'user2' for 15 minutes. 5. Log off as 'user2'. 6. Log on as the first user.
