Still no luck on amd64. I just removed and reinstalled mplayer (doing a apt-get
update in between), and still get the same error. Also, I just can't get
mplayer to build from source on my amd64, it dies with the following errors:
cc -c -I../libvo -I../../libvo -O4 -pipe -ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer
-D_REENTRANT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE
-I. -I.. -I../osdep -I../libavutil -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/SDL
-D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/include/directfb -DMPG12PLAY -o osd.o
