I believe /sbin/hwclock is the default tool for manually setting the hwclock in Linux. I’m nervous that higher level workloads may depend on the correct functioning of the /sbin/hwclock tool for their successful operation.
The /sbin/hwclock tool is shipped with the util-linux package. Adding util-linux as impacted and assigning to Foundations team to comment on whether the /sbin/hwclock tool not operating on witherspoon is a serious issue or not. ** Also affects: util-linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-power-systems Assignee: bugproxy (bugproxy) => Canonical Foundations Team (canonical-foundations) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1837443 Title: [Power9][Witherspoon dd2.3] unable to set hwclock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-power-systems/+bug/1837443/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
