Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hfsprogs
The description of the package says: > For users, HFS+ seems to be a good compromise to carry files between MacOS X > and Linux Machines ... > ... > * ability to use a journaled filesystem; > > > > > ... This is misleading! Linux doesn't support journaled HFS+ partitions. You can mount journaled partions read-write using a "force" mount option but there is a very good chance of wrecking the filesystem that way. If you want to write to HFS+ from Linux, you better disable journaling ("diskutil disableJournal <device>" on OS X). ** Affects: hfsprogs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Description is misleading https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164151 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
