oh okay. I actually updated from ubuntu 18.04 to 19.04 in the expectation that the bug disappears. I do not have enough time now for trying to figure out this issue due to some academic deadline. But I will follow the steps as soon as the bug happens again in version 19.04 though. Thank you very much!
