Hello All, I know it has been suggested by some to keep those using the fglrx drivers out of this bug report, but from searching I believe the issue may likely to both the open source driver and fglrx. I currently have a Radeon 9700 Pro running Compiz in Gutsy and have been experiencing the random freezes with no mouse movement. I can recreate the issue by running XMMS and loading a playlist. After a few songs while using Firefox (or sometimes doing nothing but listening), a freeze will occur. I am using the flgrx driver but that is the only one I have had success enabling Compiz with. I will try a variety of scenarios including reverting back to the open source driver and disabling Compiz.
