Well, you can blame people for getting a little annoyed. I've seen four types of responses on this bug: - complaining about the bug: not usefull - people playing the blame-game and dismissing importance and reponsibility: you have no clue how much you are hurting Ubuntu's reputation. See entries such as: "ubuntu' s NOT destoying hard-drives", etc. - people trying to solve the issue (a.k.a heroes)
My two cents: - stop complaining about this bug, its not constructive - bug-watch admin should _acknowledge_ importance of the bug . Just by turning priority to critical you are saying "we care". You are not saying "its our fault". Half of the comments here are about the priority and the we-dont-care-message associated with wishlist priority. - leave the blame-game discussion until the issue until fix-released _Afterwards_, a inquiry on why the community interaction has failed could be wise. -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
