Thank you for your report. The attached log files show installed packages coming from third party repositories. For example DpkgTerminalLog.txt shows:
Removing python3.6-minimal (3.6.8-1~16.04.york1) ... Unlinking and removing bytecode for runtime python3.6 but no such package exists as an official Xenial package. This kind of setup isn't supported and is in general discouraged, as it easily brings to system breakage. If you need a newer version of Python I encourage you to upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver). Since this looks like a local configuration issue, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Invalid. If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: ssh-import-id (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1833378 Title: package ssh-import-id 5.5-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 127 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ssh-import-id/+bug/1833378/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
