Was trying to upgrade to edgy using the following guidelines: For those willing to test edgy, I wrote a little guide. Assuming you did a clean install of dapper on a testing partition and you want to upgrade to edgy. *Method A ( official ):* Just do Code: sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude upgrade now that your update manager is up to date do : Code: gksudo "update-manager -c -d" It was during the last command that the problems occurred. gksudo "update-manager -c -d" Has happened 2 times.
