I just installed Kubuntu 7.10 from DVD. First thing I did after install was to try to update the system. After an initial update it offered to upgrade me to Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 (which I just installed). I declined. Since then I ran it from the K menu button and I get a ksedu prompt and then nothing. After 2 attempts I ran sudo apt-get update and sudo apt- get upgrade. Nothing was downloaded but several install configs were overwritten (no harm done, it's a brand new installation.)
