When I ran freeplane from a terminal window, I noticed this tiny box pop up on one of the three 4K monitors pop up: https://i.imgur.com/TejMgt8.png
This screenshot probably looks big to you, but it is tiny on a 4K monitor. This box did not pop up on the same monitor that Freeplane was on. So, what probably happened, is I did not notice it at all the day I submitted this bug. I probably clicked on a window behind this small box and never saw it after that. A box like this ought to pop up in front of the freeplane window, not on another monitor.
