Public bug reported: I have observed this behaviour with several Snap apps now. It is easily reproducible with the Slack Snap. With the browser closed, click on a link in a Slack conversation, and the browser will open as expected. Unfortunately the browser window will belong to the Slack app in the dock.
I have also observed this with the Visual Studio Code snap, once installed it launches a browser to display documentation, and again the browser window belongs to the VS Code app in the dock. If the browser is already open in either of these instances, then this problem does not occur. I am using Google Chrome as my default browser. ** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: snaps -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1827770 Title: When the browser is launched from a Snap app, the browser window is incorrectly classed as a window belonging to the Snap app rather than showing as its own application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1827770/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
