When follwoing the recommended procedure to burn the xububtu paspberry pi image for Ubuntu 16.04 here: https://ubuntu-pi-flavour-maker.org/download/ the gnome disk utility incorrectly gets the size of the xz image as 23 Mb instead of 837Mb. Release: Ubuntu 18.10. Version: paul@galileo:~/Downloads$ apt-cache policy gnome-disk-utility gnome-disk-utility: Installed: 3.30.1-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.30.1-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.30.1-1ubuntu1 500 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu cosmic/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Steps: 1. Download the xubuntu 16.04 image for raspberry pi from the above link. Resultant file is: -rw-r--r-- 1 paul paul 836961352 Apr 6 14:10 /home/paul/Downloads/xubuntu-16.04.2-desktop-armhf-raspberry-pi.img.xz Expected: Able to restore compressed disk image to SDCard as recommended in the above link.
