I am able to reproduce the issue in a disco VM. When copying the link from twitter in chromium, the text/html contents of the clipboard looks like that:
<span style="color: rgb(20, 23, 26); font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font- variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(230, 236, 240); text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; display: inline !important; float: none;">https://twitter.com/someone/status/sometweet But when copying the same link from twitter in firefox, the text/html contents of the clipboard is different: https://twitter.com/someone/status/sometweet The relevant bit is "opacity: 0". That makes the link invisible. This is a bug on twitter's side, I would say. There's no good reason for them to make the link invisible when using firefox. ** Summary changed: - Pasted Twitter links are invisble. + Pasted Twitter links are invisible ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1771396 Title: Pasted Twitter links are invisible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1771396/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
