I am not sure I know what a cold boot is but that partition is not gone yet. I can try once I know what it is. This is on an older Dell Dimension 8400 tower. Dual booting with Win 7 and separate drive with Win XP. This machine is what I use as a hobby for some gaming my laptop with dual boot Win 10, Linux Cinnamon 18.3 and Ubuntu Bionic Beaver won't do with ease. Laptop heats now and shuts down.
