Dell M5530 1.8.1 w/TB16 1.0.2. TB16 firmware flashed in Win10 fails on MST2 firmware.
Seeing the same on Fedora 29 w/ 5.0.1-300.fc30.x86_64 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1600126 WorkARound for me is booting Win10 before booting Linux. Then I can hotplug as much as I want.
