This happens on i386 as well. I am pretty sure this is 'not a bug' but
rather due to how math is done on computers in general, especially after
you commenting that MS Excel does the exact same thing. There is
generally no concept of regular real numbers on computers, it can be
worked around for financial applications but generally isn't needed.
