Yes, it still happens. I "sanitized" (semi-anonymized) the source document, then created a data file with nine fake addresses, and merged it, creating the same result. When I merge this document, I see two copies of each image in the output file, with the duplicate image floating near the top of each page.
Steps to create & link data: I created the data in a spreadsheet, then copied and pasted as unformatted text into a text document (to create a tab delimited data source with a proper header row) then used the Address Data Source wizard to connect the data file to the "Invitation graphics sanitized.odt" document. [I will include all four files, but you can probably recreate it with fewer. I know there should be a better way, but after trying several different things this procedure produced a merged document most reliably.] [I apologize if there are still dead links to the old data or spurious fields in there... has anyone ever mentioned OpenOffice's database and merge tools are difficult to work with ;-) ] ** Attachment added: "Invitation text document including graphics" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10369057/Invitation%20graphics%20sanitized.odt -- Merged document spawns duplicate graphics https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
