I've installed Ubuntu now. :)

With linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic (version 2.6.22-14.46), the size of the AGP 
aperture is identified correctly:
cat /var/log/dmesg | grep agpgart
[   33.994241] Linux agpgart interface v0.102 (c) Dave Jones
[   34.107968] agpgart: Detected AGP bridge 0
[   34.111845] agpgart: AGP aperture is 128M @ 0xf0000000

DRI is working, as well, with both the sis-agp and the amd64-agp modules
loaded.

However, the APIC errors continue:
