Okay, I think I have a reasonable workaround until it gets fixed in the official kernel. I used the recommendation from Dany Martineau earlier and removed the listed lines from ec.c in the stock ubuntu kernel. I rebuilt the kernel, restricted-modules and ubuntu-modules and created the deb packages for them. It's working great for me, but YMMV. If anyone would like to give it a try, grab this package - http://fragglenet.com/tools/toshiba_dsdt_kernel_fix.2.6.22-14_2007111300.tar.gz - extract it and execute:
dpkg -i linux- headers-2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300_2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300-10.00.Custom_i386.deb linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300_2.6.22-14.37_i386.deb linux-restricted- modules-2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300_2.6.22.4-14.9_i386.deb linux- image-2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300_2.6.22-14-dsdt.fix.2007111300-10.00.Custom_i386.deb I'll have to keep an eye on my bandwidth usage, but I'll leave the package there as long as I don't come close to my limit. No promises on how it will work for anyone else, but like I said - it's working great for me; I have sound, full ACPI, NVIDIA, and wireless. Good luck! -Brint -- toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
