In any event, I have just tried it again. NO persistence, on new computer. Same result: I actually did a screenshot (which looked just as the previous did) but of course, without persistence, I could not save it on the USB. Although I mounted my data partition and saved it to there as well, I cannot locate it, for some reason... I either messed up the name, or ... Same USB of Lubuntu 18.10 release. At the VERY least, I plan to make the first install of this new computer be L19.04, and will test it then.
