Even if it would, I (n00b) don't know what you mean by "upstream". In Debian they still have serious udisks probs with add-, change-, update events (#571, 572, 573, 574, 581, 613), but I fail to see the context to simply opening GParted. And I don't gitMi$o, sorry.
