I guess I was wrong - the POST_VIDEO etc fix didn't solve it after all. I tried multiple suspend/resume cycles which did work, but later it didn't, perhaps due to a longer period in suspend? I'll try blacklisting the intel agp modules next (just setting NvAGP to "1" in the xorg.conf doesn't seem to have any effect).
