I downloaded the main DEB package from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/GetInvolved#Test_Pre-releases, unpacked the archive and installed all the debs in it (sudo dpkg -i *.deb). That was enough to have libreoffice use the "kde5" VCL by default.
