kernel.org 2.6.18 + touchpad issue manual fix (Bug #96598) - rare pauses

kernel.org 2.6.22-rc4 - rare functional moments 
or
kernel.org 2.6.22.2 + vserver patch 2.2.0.3 - rare functional moments

--ide: failed opcode was: unknown
these two rows are filled into syslog repeatedly 
till any hard reset. 

So i'm back to use 2.6.18 kernel

different logs for my box are attached

Problem drive is:
    ide0: BM-DMA at 0x3580-0x3587, BIOS settings: hda:DMA, hdb:DMA
hdb: TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-L632D, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdb: ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM DVD-R-RAM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, DMA
hdb: status timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
hdb: DMA disabled
