Public bug reported: Since Ubuntu 18.04 a connected smartphone via usb is very, very, very slow. If you want to copy some pictures from the smartphone to the computer you have to wait minutes for just list and show the names of the pictures. I tryed and tested this behaviour with Ubuntu 16.04 and there is no such failure. With Ubuntu 16.04 the connected smartphone works as expected, fast and reliable.
