I can confirm it on Kubuntu 7.10 (upgraded from 7.04). If I use Fn Key down it shows the popup volume bar going down till 0%, but doesn't affect the volume. If I use Fn Key Up, it shows the popup volume bar, but that bar can't go upper than 11% volume, and doesn't affect the real volume. If I use Fn Mute Key it shows the right popup ("mute activated"/"mute deactivated") but it doesn't affect the volume.
I have Compix installed but actually not running. Please help, it's an annoying bug.. If any log i s needed just ask.
