This trouble arises when trying to update initramfs from the isofile (ubuntu-18.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso) as soon as ubiquity terminates the installation.
update-initramfs succeeds when run from an installed instance of Ubuntu and after a chroot command, or, afterwards, from a running 18.04 system. This seems to point the bug to the isofile. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1806914 Title: [18.04] update-initramfs fails to generate correct initrd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1806914/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
