I was running a bash script which copied directories from a partition on
my hard drive (never store data in the Linux partition) to external USB
drives. After the script finished, Ubuntu 18.10 crashed. The mouse
pointer moved but no window, or menu or keys responded. Could not even
get the Menu to open so that I could shut down. Had to power down
manually.
