Sorry, I'm no longer able to duplicate it. Somehow, I was able to repeat it multiple times yesterday, but not today. I thought it would be against ffmpeg, because I used the command vokoscreen was executing to try to reduce the amount of software involved.
vokoscreen has output like: > [vokoscreen] Executive command : "/usr/bin/ffmpeg -report -f x11grab > -draw_mouse 1 -framerate 25 -video_size 902x946 -i :0.0+7,1147 -pix_fmt > yuv420p -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -q:v 1 -s 902x946 -f matroska > /tmp/vokoscreen-rrehbein/vokoscreen-2018-12-05_07-51-25.mkv" Attached is a log from one of the fails. I don't have a log of a success from yesterday. I guess close as lacking information / unable to reproduce. ** Attachment added: "ffmpeg-20181204-155353.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ffmpeg/+bug/1806779/+attachment/5219448/+files/ffmpeg-20181204-155353.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1806779 Title: Recording fails on xfce via vokoscreen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ffmpeg/+bug/1806779/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
