I am running Ubuntu 7.10 and I am also unable to capture any sound from the line-in/mic/Optical-in on my Audigy 2 ZS Notebook
Alsa drivers are properly selected. I can listen to music threw the sound card. It is also configured to be default the default sound card. I am attempting to use IDJC and Audacity and both softwares are unable to capture any sound.
