The Ubuntu Desktop Team's focus is on the new Yaru themes. I don't think we have plans to work on this request.
Someone from the community could salvage the old Ambiance GNOME Shell theming and put it in the Ambiance package. (You will then probably need to use GNOME Tweaks to switch Shell themes.)
