I have similar issues. Hovering over long filenames with the information panel in one of the sidebars causes the dolphin window to resize itself. Afterwards it is usually to big to fit on my screen and I can't resize it unless I hover over another, shorter filename. The dolphin version I am using is: Dolphin 0.9.2(KDE 3.5.8)
