I'm using the 340.107 and the problem persists. As I told in #7, a second X user is affected too, not only the unlock screen. That's the big problem with this bug: it is not only an aesthetic problem.
I confirm that all works as intended with the nouveau driver. I did not found any error messages in the /var/log/lightdm/ files. Where and what should I look to contribute more?
