Hi all, TeXstudio for Debian (and thus the version contained directly in Ubuntu) is spread over several packages in order to offer you more flexibility (you can install one the packages you want). TeXstudio packaged by upstream is contained in one package only, that's why you get the errors saying that files are already contained in a different package.
If you really want to use the PPA, deinstal TeXstudio first, then install the version from the PPA. This is not a bug in the TeXstudio package contained in Ubuntu.
