I solved the issue on Gutsy: 1. downloaded the latest (1.00.18) gspca module source from the web: http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca50x/Download/gspcav1-20070508.tar.gz 2. renamed /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/ubuntu/media/gspcav1/gspca.ko to gspca.ko~ 3. make && sudo make install 4. reboot or reload gspca module
According to dmesg, the gspca.ko binary shipped with Ubuntu Gutsy has version 1.00.12. Please make sure the upstream release will be merged for Hardy.
