Public bug reported: I went to the ubuntu downlaod page to download the Server ISO. This casued Konqueror to open Kate. I closed Kate to cancel it. This casue the download to correctly stop but it stayed stuck in the Downloads progress dialogue. I have the dialogue set to list all downlaods in one window. I tried cancelling it but it had no effect. It was stuck saying it had downloaded 5MB at a speed of 243 KB/s. I closed the download progress dialogue and through out the day it would use it again for other downloads the other ISO file was stil lthere. Cancelling it did nothing.
Steps to reproduce: - Open Konqueror, go to ubuntu.com and follow the wizard to pick an ISO in my case x86 server edition. - Kate will open incorrectly (The download progress window will also open) - Close Kate - Download window stays running in backgroud, try cancelling the job and it will not cancel - Only after exiting KDE did it go away (Although in my case it wsa a reboot of machine not sure if a log out and back in alon will fix it) - You can then try after you have closed the dialogue to download other files from local or remote locations. The download window will obviously reopen and you will see the incomplete transfer still stuck in progress but not moving Thanks Félim ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Download of ISO via the Ubuntu Page opens Kate - Download stuck in file progress popup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
