I can confirm this on Gutsy. On my computer if the strigi applet finds a match a box pops up on the upper left hand corner of the screen and disappears almost immediately. It is replaced by the search results box above the applet. When we are typing something into the applet and strigi finds a match, the cursor focus probably shifts to that box in the upper right hand of the screen, but does not come back to the applet when the box closes.
