I just today downloaded the released Lubuntu 18.10, placed it on a USB thumb drive, and booted from it. There on the desktop was the install icon, which when double-clicked upon, yielded the stated window... I will at some point, boot into the installed 18.10 and individually ubuntu-bug the various issues above. (I have to "live" in 17.10, as no later version can install the nvidia-304 driver, which nvidia has retired. Sooner or later in a session, nouveau screen-crashes on me, and I must reboot... I'll have to get a new computer. If nouveau crashes on IT, I can at least install a non-retired nvidia driver... I wonder if AMD radeon drivers are any less likely to give me problems (I don't do video games, or anything fancy, although I was thinking of getting a 4k/UHD TV to double as a monitor...)) Is calamares present on the installed 18.10, or is it removed as no longer being necessary? If so, I would have to boot from the USB thumb drive, and ubuntu-bug from the live-session... Would that even work...? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1801203 Title: Several minor issues with the Cosmic release version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/1801203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
