Public bug reported: I am attempting to do a clean install of Ubuntu 18.04 on a new server (Supermicro X10DRH-iLN4) with an NVidia GTS 1050. It currently has 14.04 desktop installed and it installs/works without issues. I am using a live USB stick with either desktop 18.04, 18.04.01 or server 18.04.01 and no matter what happens I get the following error:
[3.244017] nouveau 0000.81.00.0: bus: MMIO read of 00000000 FAULT at 122124 [IBUS]. After this error shows, I an unable to proceed further and a reboot is necessary so I am unable to do the below reporting. Not sure how to proceed or fix this issue. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799462 Title: Nouveau preventing 18.04 live from booting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1799462/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
