Public bug reported: I'm following the "Install (Default + LVM) in Ubuntu Server ppc64el in Cosmic Daily" iso test and was surprised to be warned that my partitioning layout didn't include a /boot partition (see screenshot).
I was offered an option to not continue (the default), or ignore it and continue. If I continue, the installation finishes without further issues and the vm boots just fine. Since I'm using the guided partitioning option, I'm expecting the installer to take care of such things. It should either create the /boot that it is complaining about, or not complain about it, since it seems to be working just fine. When selecting the similar "lvm + encryption" option, I don't get warned about a missing /boot. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "guided-lvm-missing-boot.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798436/+attachment/5202285/+files/guided-lvm-missing-boot.png ** Description changed: I'm following the "Install (Default + LVM) in Ubuntu Server ppc64el in Cosmic Daily" iso test and was surprised to be warned that my partitioning layout didn't include a /boot partition (see screenshot).
