Public bug reported:

Rhythmbox on Ubuntu goes with "Alternative Toolbar" enabled by default.

This alternative toolbar is missing volume control!

I disabled this plugin and now after I restarted Rhythmbox, I see no
menu (and so no "Plugins" menu item to change it further).

Sorry that I reported two bugs in one, but they need to be fixed
together.
