Public bug reported:
I am running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and bluez 5.50-0ubuntu0ppa1. I have a
bluetooth mouse, Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse. I can connect/pair the
mouse to my Ubuntu laptop and it works well - all buttons and scrolling.
However, if the system reboots, sleeps, or shutdown, the mouse does not
reconnect. I have to put the mouse into paring mode, then go to the
bluetooth section of Settings, click on the mouse (which says
Disconnected) and reconnect the mouse. If I try to reconnect the mouse
through the bluetooth settings without putting the mouse in pairing
mode, it will not reconnect.
I have read these bug reports
#452783 Bluetooth mouse does not work after suspend-resume - old version of
Ubuntu so Invalid
#1246981 Bluetooth mouse fails to re-connect after sleep. - no resolution
#1759628 bluez regression: Bluetooth audio fails to reconnect after resume -
says to use bluez 4.48, but that did not fix my mouse problem either. That is
why I tried bluez 5.50 from the bluez ppa and it still is not fixed.
Thanks!
Mark
