Public bug reported:

The ispell function of emacs expects to find a file such as
/usr/lib/aspell/deutsch.alias, just as there is a file british.alias in
the English aspell version. The file should probably simply contain the
lines:

# File added to make emacs ispell work
add de_DE.multi

Of course, as a simple workaround, you can add this file by hand.
