Having the same kind of problems here with brasero. Andrea Corbellini asked me
to put the output of "dvd+rw-format -blank /dev/dvd", but I think that is
useless:
* BD/DVD±RW/-RAM format utility by <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, version 7.0.
:-( unable to open("/dev/dvd"): No such file or directory
Once the erasing process fails, my DVD+-RW drive becomes useless (with the disc
spinning in it) until I reboot.
If there is any info or file I can add, please, ask me to.
