I cannot reproduce the issue in a 18.04 VM. Can you play those video files outside libreoffice, using totem (the default video player)?
Can you install debug symbols for libreoffice (using instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash#Non-built- in_debug_symbol_packages_.28.2A-dbgsym.29, you will need at least libreoffice-core-dbgsym and libreoffice-impress-dbgsym) and then try to obtain a backtrace following the instructions at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#GNU.2FLinux:_How_to_get_a_backtrace ? Thanks in advance! ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788636 Title: Libreoffice impress crash when I insert a video file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1788636/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
