I can confirm that versions -15 and -16 of NetworkManager have *broken my ability to connect at all to hidden networks*, let alone automatically re-connect to them after restart/suspend, for both me and my two roommates' laptops. We all have different models of laptops but are all using Gutsy, ndiswrapper, and the Broadcom 43xx chipset. (ndiswrapper is the version supplied with Gutsy, although I have also tried using version 1.49 compiled from source, with no better success.) Using the bcm43xx kernel driver is not really an option, as it is still quite unreliable from what I have read and from my limited usage. Also unhiding the access point is not an option, as we are using Georgia Tech's campus-wide network (and I know that other college campuses have a similar setup). I can barely even Google a site where I can still obtain the .deb for version -14 of NetworkManager, although that does seem to allow us connect, albeit requiring us to re-enter the SSID and WEP key every time we connect.
