And the issue described in comment#37 is also back. This time, however, after doing Ctrl+Alt+F1, everything was black (except for the cursor blinking on the internal display), and I was unable to switch back to the GUI with Ctrl+Alt+F7; I ended up having to cold boot the system using the power button.
